Our water supplier for our 5 gallon, 3 gallon, 1 gallon and BPA-free bottled spring water is Glenn Summit Spring Water.  We also have .5 liter bottles that are Nirvana brand packed 24 to a case.  Our distilled water is steamed distilled water and steamed out of all impurities, it is as flat and plain water as you can get through the steaming process.  

Glen Summit Spring Water is bottled at the source by Glen Summit Spring Company. The Source is a series of certain natural springs, found more than 1,700 feet above sea level and protected by more than 450 acres of Company-owned and conservation lands. For more than 120 years Glenn Summit Springs Water Company has been providing the pure, refreshing water of Glen Summit to people who enjoy quality water.

Glen Summit Springs lies near the village of Glen Summit on the northern slope of the eastern end of Nescopeck Mountain where it sweeps to the north to meet the southward bend of Penobscot Mountain . The area has long been known regionally for its mountain springs and is now protected by over 450 acres of pristine, uncultivated forest made up of privately owned and conservation lands.

The naturally high pH of Glen Summit Spring Water is especially prized by knowledgeable, natural and organic consumers as it is believed to help offset the high acid diet of modern man.  The magnesium content in the water creates hydrogen enriched water, which is renowned by health enthusiasts to keep you very healthy!  The high alkalinity of 13.3 combined with a low TDS has really made the “Perfect” spring for naturalists and organic consumers.  The calcium content is also good for strong bones and teeth!

The alkalinity of water is a measure of how much acid it can neutralize. If any changes are made to the water that could raise or lower the pH value, alkalinity acts as a buffer, protecting the water and its life forms from sudden shifts in pH. This ability to neutralize acid, or H+ ions, is particularly important in regions affected by heavy rains that can cause acidity in water.

Most alkalinity in surface water comes from calcium carbonate, CaCO3, being leached from rocks and soil. Limestone contains especially high levels of calcium carbonate. Alkalinity is significant in the treatment of drinking water because it will influence treatment processes such as anaerobic digestion.

As far as general water information goes Glen Summit has been selling spring water out of there deep underground aquifer since 1884. They have supplied many companies throughout the years throughout PA, NJ and NY. The water is tested every day in house and they also do random samples and take them to a state certified lab. They also do a yearly analysis that is about 6-10 pages long required by the FDA.  This report is available to our customers, just ask us! 

All empty returnable 5 and 3 gallon bottles are physically inspected, UV lighted and “sniffed” before being put through the next wash and sterilization process to ensure clean/safe bottles are only refilled.

The bottles go through a wash cycle before they are filled. The bottles get loaded into a washer where the water is heated to 120-140 degrees, and then a special soap made just for washing five/three gallon bottles cleans each bottle thoroughly. The bottles are washed for about five minutes and then they are rinsed for about five minutes. The final stage in the rinse cycle is the same water as product spring water to rinse out any remaining soap.

The water that is captured is filtered multiple times at the spring with natural limestone and filtration equipment, with the final filtration being one micron. In addition to filtration, the water is ozonated, which serves to sterilize both the water and everything it touches.  Ozonation is a sanitizing process that dissipates after only a few minutes, the ozone will kill 99.99% of all bacteria, including ecoli and salmonella. 

The ozone concentration is kept at a level specified by the International Bottled Water Association for the Food and Drug Administration’s Good Manufacturing Procedure regulation. The spring water is then filled into sanitized containers, capped, coded and put in safe bottle racks. All containers are sanitized with spring water prior to filling. -

The water has two minerals in them at perfect concentration levels.  Magnesium and Calcium are naturally occurring in the water, Magnesium is good for heart health, and Calcium is good for your bones.  Additionally our water source has a high pH at 6.8 and alkalinity level of 13.3 and low TDS of 44.  Most of our competitors have a PH in the 5’s, TDS over 50 and lower alkalinity levels.  This is not good for your body and is acidic, which causes diabetes and heart problems.  Our water source without a doubt is considered one of the best free flowing natural springs in the Northeastern US .  This fact is due to its high pH, mineral content, alkalinity and low TDS.
